Things to Keep Track Of

Working in the electronic world of marketing it's always reassuring to know the effectiveness of your campaigns and whether they are bring in sales and referrals to your business.

But what are some of the things you can (and should be tracking)?


1. How people are getting to your website.
You want to know how they are getting there wether it's from:
  • Search Engine Advertising (read the difference between Natural Search and Sponsored search below)
  • Email Marketing
  • A link from another website
  • A referral from a friend / colleague
  • From a direct entry (i.e. your customer has entered your domain name directly into their browser from your business card / broadcast media)
